I am finally posting again. Today's teachers' day party was so fun! Whee! Waking up at 5.30 and going to school at 6.30 was DEFINITELY worthwhile. I can't believe Mrs Susan Teo and Mrs Cindy Simon even cried when the songs were being sung! - so touching! I am very glad that the teachers loved the poster-cards we made for them. And the food was delicious! Thanks to Maria and her mom for getting the wonderful polar chocolate cake for us! Mmmm...
Really enjoyed the whole thing - I know that for "You're the Inspiration" we were quite soft, sorry about that, but I could see the teachers really loved it and I'm really happy about that. Joshua Chan, Zhang He and Zhan Feng sang "Hero" by Mariah Carey pretty well too. Oh! And I loved the skits, especially the part where Zhang He went "Love! I love ice cream!" and "Cold! Ice cream is cold!" to Mr. Clown's (Shawn) weird questions. He said it in this really funny tone. I really liked that part - Good job, Zhang He, didn't know your awfully irritating voice could be put to such a good use! And good job to Lidan too for making the scripts. I'd also like to thank the prefects for organising the stuff. I'm sure it must have been very satisfying for you to see that it was such a big success! Yay! It was really unforgettable. Good job, everyone!

Can you believe it?
My mom was using the com and while I was waiting for her to be done, I saw an old file of mine with all the plastic holders inside in which I put a lot of really cute stuff that I made or wrote or drew when I was young, and this was one of them!
Notice the date: "8-8-99" Today's date is "17-8-06"
That means that I drew this exactly 7 years and 9 days ago!
And it's like so very similar to our english oral pic today!
See, notice the same things - giraffes, "do not feed" signs, fences, people...
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
I was a psychic at the age of 4!!!

Today's english oral was very easy. Yay!

But a strange thing for all us 849 first-halvers - the teachers(both female) liked to interrupt us in the picture discussion with prompts. For example, (and this applied to all of us) when we just started "this picture depicts a scene of a giraffe enclosure in the zoo -" and then when we wanted to speak about the other two sentences concerning the big picture like abt the time, mood, weather or whatever, the teachers interrupt and one points to the boys feeding the giraffe ice-cream and drinks and goes "what do you think the boys are doing?" And it went on like that for most of the picture discussion. But well, I think and do hope that I did well! Am happy cos the teachers were very smiley to me (shows that they're pleased!) and they said "very good" a few times. Yay! We watched Mr Bean in the hall while waiting. Pretty funny. I liked the part where he was at the beach and needed to change from his pants into his swimming trunks. There was no changing area, so he had to do it in front of a man by putting on his trunks and then pulling out his pants from one side. He made a tough effort to do so and finally succeeded! - Just to find that that man was BLIND! (: Still found it funny although I had watched it before. Ms Jocelyn Tan decided not to give us the papers when we were in the hall after all. She said that she had decided to let us rest. He he. Was disappointed, but nevermind.

Then, I went with my mom to tampines central, the big hawker centre-market place thingy. It was about 11 something. And I ate a huge bowl of delicious hai xian tang(seafood soup) and couldn't finish my rice! (: And guess what... this lady carrying groceries came up to us and asked if I was in the same class as her son. I was like "huh?". Then she asked what class I was in and said her son was in 6/12. My mom said I was in 6/12 too! AHH! I went, "No, no, 6/11!". My mom was like, "Oh. Really?". Me: "Uh...ya."(and then to the lady) "Who's your son?"

Elias' mom said, "Is your daughter in the first half? My Elias is in the second half... and he's still not out... *sigh*" well, she didn't EXACTLY speak those words, but as far as I can remember, that's somewhat like it.

After that the lady left after bading us goodbye and then my mom bought some stuff after we finished lunch. In the car, we had a very wierd conversation about how Elias' mom knew that I was in the P6 GE when I don't recall having met her before. Now come to think of it, I think she might have seen me at one of the mother's day celebrations or something. Anyway, my mom said that whenever she and the other mother's, like if they were waiting opposite the traffic light, they would go like "hi, i'm ____'s mom." And then when she said that she was Rachel's mom, the other mothers would go like, "OH! Rachel - I hear she's a very good artist!" or "She's very cute!" sigh. I told my mom that for the mothers who said I was cute, either their child was a girl, or they had seen me before. I can't IMAGINE any boy saying I am cute to his mom!!! And mind you, cute as in baby voice, pinchy cheeks "cute". ):

I was actually quite shocked today.

According to Miss Lee, the highest in 5/12 for their Eng paper is like I think approx. 74? If that's upon 95, then Mala would be getting like a... 77.9%. Or something like that. But that isn't really like very liao bu qi. Right? I mean like are our English standards relly like that low? Or are we just really bad? Or maybe that paper was just really tough? Doubtfully. You know, that 77.9 isn't even a band one! Also, I got a 74.5. Upon 95. And like everyone was congratulating me! Or sort of. But a 74.5 upon 95 means a 78.4 out of 100! That isn't like a WOW or anything. At least not to me. So, I was like really puzzled. I don't think I really deserved it - as in the congratulations. I really think I could have done much better.

And also, (pout) I can't believe it. Did I really do that bad for the Chi compo? I mean, my 'range' is from 26-28. Upon 40! I usually get like a 30-32.

Oh anyway, I was like looking at my stuff (NSW stuff) and I realised that like you can get like super high for one subject and not so good in the other but then you can still like get distinction in both. It's weird that way. Anyway, what's the use of taking our NSWs? It doesn't help as revision or anything since it isn't in the same format as our school based exams. right? Oh, it definitely can't have been. Otherwise, how could that Nicholas Lim get a high distinction and so many of us just a simple measley distinction? Some may say that I am a perfectionist, but quoting from the bible (James 1:4), "But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." See, even the bible says that there should be perfection. Perfection is good. So I am simply obeying God (:

Well, I am a little bitty bit disappointed with my Science marks. I know I got band one, but I only just got it - 85. I am really mad at how I could be so blur! You know the one about the pulley drawing? In the revision paper, they seperately instructed us to draw the arrows to show the direction of force, but then on the real SA paper, they didn't. So I didn't. Who would ever do such a thing?!? Well, other than me, of course ):

But I am happeeeeeeeeee that we are only left with one mathematics paper, and of course the listening comphre, but that isn't and shouldn't really be much of a problem.
But I am also very sad that we are still left with one mathematics paper, and the listening comphre too. boo.

Hello all!

I'm so happy that I got a 41 on my math paper! Yay!
I know it would seem pretty lousy to most of u but I'm still so very happy!

Yesterday Mr Nge was like telling us how angry he was that most of us did very badly and how he was going to give us more revision, and he was like, "ok, Rachel?"

And I'm like thinking, "What? Is that a sign that like I did very badly far below his expextations and I'm supposed to buck up or something?"
But I guess I just simply wasn't paying attention that's why he called my name.
I guess.

And today's music-IT class was eeky. The teacher - Mr. Yeo - is like not very nice.
And the lesson was like pretty boring.
I wonder why I didn't raise my hand when he asked countless times whether we thought it was boring. *sigh*

And today Mrs Teo rearranged us... I'm stuck with Zhang He! Again!
But the good thing is that all the girls in my group are my good friends and also AT LEAST I'M NOT STUCK WITH NICHOLAS LIM! YAY! Urk.
I'm also sort of glad that Muhaimin's not in my group. If he is, then class time chinese lesson we'll have only 4 people. Then also for extra classes we will have to have Lim Jing. Yuck!
